Gorgeous hand painted portrait miniature, circa early 19th century, depicting a stunning lady in a red, draped dress and blue wrap. She also has a jeweled chain on one arm.
The painting is signed, but I have unfortunately not been able to identify the signature. I have included a close up image for you to examine.
The frame is a gilt brass, and the backing is a thick piece of decorated cardboard. There is glass in front of the painting.
