The MF® BARNSTORMER Type II revisits our classic early US Navy and US Coast Guard 10-button peacoat pattern in vintage Mil-Specs Jungle Cloth. The 100% cotton shell comes in a non-regulation umber brown shade and is fully lined with beige corduroy.

PATTERN:
Classic 1910s–1930s US Navy and US Coast Guard melton wool peacoat pattern and construction, reimagined as the MF® BARNSTORMER Type II.

FABRIC:
100% cotton vintage Mil-Specs Jungle Cloth in umber brown.

LINING:
Beige corduroy throughout.

DETAILS:

• Ten-button front closure.
• Early USN Type “13 Stars” fouled anchor design buttons.
• Four exterior pockets: two handwarmer slash pockets and two flap-closure hip pockets, all lined with beige corduroy.
• Interior chest pocket.
• Traditional “cigarette” pocket, resized to accommodate an average smartphone and keep it securely tucked in while driving.
• Black tea-core horsehide leather arrowhead pocket stops, pocket welt reinforcements, and contrast accents.
• Detachable chin strap that can be left dangling to display either fabric side or concealed when buttoned beneath the collar.
• Traditional zig-zag under-collar reinforcement stitching.
• Mister Freedom® woven rayon “MFSC NAVAL CLOTHING TAILOR” label.
• Cotton-wrap poly thread tonal stitching.
• Made in Japan.

CARE

DO NOT MACHINE WASH.

This garment is too heavy and voluminous for a regular home washer, even one boasting “Heavy Duty” settings. A machine wash cycle may damage the jacket, the machine, or both.

Professional eco-friendly dry cleaning is recommended should heavy soiling occur. Spot cleaning with a damp cloth is suitable for minor stains.

The initial soaking process may also be repeated. If necessary, hand wash using a minimal amount of eco-friendly detergent.

The MF® BARNSTORMER Type II continues our interpretation of classic early 20th-century US Navy and US Coast Guard peacoats, drawing inspiration from original military outerwear and traditional naval construction.

This edition introduces a non-regulation umber brown vintage Mil-Specs Jungle Cloth shell, paired with a full beige corduroy lining. Black tea-core horsehide reinforcements and other signature Mister Freedom® details distinguish the BARNSTORMER while preserving the practical character of its naval origins.
