Snugpak Arrowhead Insulated Windproof Jacket

Snugpak Arrowhead Insulated Jackets are based on the multi award winning Sleeka Elite Jacket favoured by military personal. This enhanced design includes greater insulation, as well as a number of features to improve and extends it use outdoors. 

The outer shell is manufactured from Paratex Light, a 100% polyester fabric that is highly windproof (3ft³/min), water resistant* thanks to a durable water repellent finish (DWR), highly breathable (12l/m²/24h), and quick wicking. The  use of Snugpaks Softie® polyester fill provides all the insulation benefits of down, but retains body heat when wet, as well as having greater loft recovery after compaction i.e. when stored in its stuff sack for long lengths of time. The inner layer of these Arrowhead jackets utilises a polyamide version of the Paratex Light, offering a softer handle and greater robustness.  

To help prevent wind penetration through the full length YKK front zip, there is a  wind baffle on the inner face and a split baffle to the outer face. The insulated peaked hood incorporates a single handed drawstring on its reverse and two at the front, to allow for a close fit to every head shape, including helmets. If you do not want the hood, then it can be unzipped and stored away for future use. Hook and loop adjustable tabs on each cuff enables a close wrist fit, whilst the brushed polyester lined collar provides extra comfort. There is also a surprising amount of storage options incorporated in to these Arrowhead jackets. Deep zipped hand warmer pockets are lined with insulating brushed fabric, with two further smaller external zipped pockets to the left hand chest and the left hand sleeve. Internally there is a zipped security pocket to the right hand side.

The fit of these insulated windproof jackets are generous but not voluminous, allowing base layers and mid layers to be worn underneath. Two adjustors on the hems drawstring allow you to tailor the fit around your waist. When not in use, these jackets can be packed away in their own compact stuff sack. 

* Although the outer fabric has a waterproof finish (DWR), the stitching and zips are not sealed, so water will eventually permeate through these areas.
