Switch Alpine Women's Jacket

The Switch Alpine has evolved through feedback from our team of climbers. They were looking for the perfect clothing system for the biggest alpine-style objectives in the Himalaya and Alaska, as well as ice and mixed climbing closer to home.

The Switch Alpine Jacket is exceptionally breathable and fast-drying. It can be worn as an outer layer in better weather, or as an ultra-warm mid-layer under a shell when you’re battling more challenging conditions.

Staying warm and comfortable in the mountains comes down to managing moisture effectively, a challenging task on days that take in long approaches, strenuous crux pitches, long belay vigils, and exposed bivis. Our Octayarn Warp-knit lining moves moisture and dries faster than comparable fabrics to leave you more comfortable through stop-start activity. Double-layered in the shoulder and upper arm, the Switch Alpine is a warmer jacket than the much-loved Kinesis Jacket that preceded it.

Octayarn is paired with our lightweight 20 Denier RS Nylon outer fabric. Wind-resistant, with mechanical stretch for freedom of movement, and highly breathable, it allows moisture to escape as it's wicked away from your body.

The Mountain HC Hood provides high levels of protection with or without a helmet and is comfortable enough to go unnoticed even when leading hard pitches battling spindrift. Our Alpine fit is trim but unrestrictive, perfect whether you’re climbing, mountaineering, or on skis, and there are 4 pockets to keep the essentials close at hand.
