SIZING/FIT

The Mister Freedom® Tahiti Shirt comes raw/unwashed, and will shrink to tagged size. Follow the usual recommended initial method before wearing: cold soak for 30mn, spin dry and line dry. Please refer to sizing chart to determine which size works for you.

CL's Advice: If you are a Medium in mfsc shirting, you are a Medium in this shirt.

CARE

Machine wash on delicate, cold water, minimal eco-friendly detergent. Turn inside-out. Line dry only.

This fabric will develop attractive patina overtime, according to the owner’s activities, frequency of wear and laundering choices.

STORY

The inspiration for the Mister Freedom® Tahiti Shirt involves family heirlooms, 1950’s local-made tourist attire, Polynesian-style prints and a nod to the famous M*A*S*H* war comedy. Don't cheat yourself for the extended story and imagery on the blog.

The base textile of our Tahiti shirt is reminiscent, in texture, of those vintage kitschy 1960’s/70’s cotton Hawaiian shirts sometimes referred to as ‘bark cloth’. Vintage iterations of this fabric were modern renditions of the ancient Hawaiian kapa, the natural wood pulp bark cloth of early traditional Polynesian attire.

Our Tahiti Shirt comes in two color options, coined by the MF® Linguistic Dept as Ura (meaning red and Moana (meaning the mighty Ocean ie. the Big Blue).

This MF® garment is designed in California by Mister Freedom® and manufactured in Japan by Sugar Cane Co.
