This inky black late Victorian (circa 1890s) cape or capelet is a luscious, soft silk trimmed with beads, sequins, and black lace.

Length from base of collar to bottom hem: 15.25"

There is some wear to the collar, which likely used to have some kind of attached trim. There is some light wear to the beading and lace, but it is not noticeable.
The lining has a few small holes.
Overall the condition is good, especially considering age, and the piece could be worn with care.
