Vintage WWII Era N-1 1st Pattern Deck Jacket in a Size 40. NXsx Contract 38051 made by the Haverhill Sportswear Company out of Haverhill, MA. Contract was awarded in October of 1943 and the jackets were produced in April of 1944. Alpaca lining is in good condition with some fraying as pictured. The distinction between the early 1st pattern N-1s and subsequent jackets relate to the alpaca lining on the cuffs. In the earlier versions, the lining goes all the way to the cuff whereas later versions have it stop where the cuff is sewn in. Drawstring and talon zipper are still intact and zipper works fine. Has some pink paint stains on the front. Missing one button. Good vintage condition overall with just the right amount of patina one would expect.
