🫧 Vintage 1950s fairy-princess perfection by Minna Bel.
Three frothy layers of blush-pink tulle float over crisp taffeta, with lace layer adorned in metallic silver soutache and shimmering rhinestones. Elastic ruffled straps can be worn off-shoulder or removed entirely for a sleek strapless silhouette. Metal back zipper, bodice stays. She’s crisp, clean, and ready for her next ball.
Minna was an accomplished designer who owned a dressmaking salon in Cypress, TX. She designed gowns for the fabled San Antonio Fiesta Celebration for 28 years. Working with a team of 10, it would take them six to eight weeks to complete each ensemble. An undernoted talent with couture level skills.
XS (34/24), with 4” of finished seam on each bodice side (8” total allowance potential) and 1” at each side of the zipper.
Excellent condition. May be missing a rhinestone here or there and some of the metallic rope has a bit of patina. Tulle is crisp, color is even and the rhinestones still shimmer. Truly incredible!
